This session will help code officials and design professionals understand the most important mechanical system requirements of the 2015 IECC commercial provisions. The course will help code officials and design professionals identify information that should be provided on construction documents to make code official plan reviews possible and efficient. These include details to be included in mechanical schedules, notes, and reflected floor plans. To deepen attendee understanding of how to evaluate code compliance, attendees will assess example single-zone HVAC systems by reviewing sample mechanical plans and comparing them with COMcheck certificates and associated checklists.
