The Uniform Construction Code requires every pool, spa and hot tub accessory to a one or two family dwelling or townhouse to be permitted and inspected if it can hold more than 24 inches of water. This webinar looks at various permitting and inspection issues including the main focus of what those inspections should cover: permanent and temporary barriers, electrical components, stairs, pool decks, and alarm systems when the house forms part of the barrier system. References to the standards adopted in Pennsylvania for residential pools, spas and hot tubs are provided.
