This three-day course conveys detailed explanations and a comprehensive look at the 2021 International Plumbing Code. Students will examine complex areas of code compliance while discerning logical and practical solutions to common application problems. Students will be given guidelines as to how judgement calls are made, and where/when the code is silent or appears ambiguous. Visual and physical presentations include: situations, installations, law, definitions, and regulations. Questions and discussion on any sections or tables will be addressed throughout the presentation, feel free to ask questions for discussion.
The fourth day will cover the class outlines, reviews and explains the changes for the 2021 edition of the IPC.
Learning Objectives
1. Students will be able to accurately explain the intent and rationale behind key sections of the 2021 International Plumbing Code (IPC) and to apply relevant code provisions to practical plumbing scenarios, as demonstrated through case study analysis and assessments.
2. Students will be able to utilize the text, tables, and figures of the 2021 IPC to evaluate plumbing system plans for compliance during the plan review process and verify proper installation during construction inspections.
3. Students will be able to articulate specific code compliance issues to designers and contractors using appropriate technical language and referencing relevant IPC sections, as evidenced by successful participation in role-playing exercises and collaborative problem-solving sessions.
4. Explain general requirements for plumbing code in the changes to the 2021 IPC.

BFCA Instructors will be utilizing an assessment tool during class for training purposes to engage lessons and collect your work.
Additionally, please note that participants are now required to complete a pre-test and post-test in order to receive their certificate of completion.

To receive full CEU's for this class, Attendance & Participation in the Live Zoom's are required. You will be expected to attend the full duration of the class.

Cancellations must be received in writing by sending an email to cancellations@paconstructioncodesacademy.org . Refunds will be determined by the date of the fax or email. A cancellation received less than 10 business days of the session you are registered for, is subject to a $50 administrative fee and any PayPal transactional fees. Those who cancel within 3 business days of the session date or do not attend, forfeit the full registration fee and if unpaid, will be invoiced. Credit toward future PCCA courses may be accepted upon approval from the PCCA administrator; substitutions may be accepted.
